The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Joomla Developer to lead the technical development and optimization of our web platforms. In this role, you will be the architect of our server-side logic, focusing heavily on the creation and customization of Joomla components, modules, and plugins. You will be responsible for managing complex MySQL databases and integrating third-party APIs such as payment gateways and CRMs to ensure our sites are both functional and scalable. Beyond initial builds, you will play a critical role in maintaining site health by performing core updates, implementing security patches, and troubleshooting technical bugs to ensure peak performance.
In this role, you will utilize deep expertise in PHP and Object-Oriented Programming with a comprehensive understanding of the Joomla framework’s internal architecture. While your primary focus will be the backend, you should be comfortable working with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to ensure seamless integration with the frontend. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver who can translate complex business requirements into robust, high-performance digital solutions.
In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers and government leadership to understand mission goals and user requirements. On an agile team, you’ll design and deliver large-scale digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are visually refined.
Help our clients meet their mission by supporting national security and empowering government teams with accessible, secure applications.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
