Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Sr. Project Manager/ Construction Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in Los Angeles.
The Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager will serve as the lead representative of the owner for a landmark $230M seismic strengthening project of a 52 high-rise in downtown Los Angeles. This full-time role is embedded with the Client's Delivery Team and will be central to overseeing all phases of the project using the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) delivery method.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate pre-construction and construction efforts for phased seismic upgrades of an occupied high-rise steel-frame building.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team including consultants, A/E firms, and the CMAR.
- Oversee schedule, budget, quality assurance, safety, and code compliance efforts.
- Implement County project management procedures and prepare official communications.
- Support environmental documentation (CEQA/NEPA), constructability reviews, GMP development, and field inspections.
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project challenges.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment among all project team members.
