This role is hybrid remote with 60% monthly in-office presence in Mount Prospect, Illinois. (3 days in office per week).
- Ensure cost, qualification and delivery of components that meet the project design book.
- Responsible for supplier selection process of new parts in New Product Development using competitive pricing analysis; also responsible for ensuring key project milestones are delivered per agreed project schedule.
- Coordinating part approvals by working with design team & selected suppliers to get quality related documents such as inspection reports, test reports showing compliance to Bosch procedures
- Responsible in purchasing project management of simultaneously managed multiple projects that involves diversity of different parts.
- Manages the purchasing portion of budgets / tooling expenses.
- Coordinates & leads technical supplier discussions with supplier & project team on plastic, machined, die cast, electrical & electronics, powder metal parts.
- Effectively interacts with the global purchasing team to drive projects using Bosch purchasing procedures.
- Ownership of key departmental key-user functions in one or more of the following areas: Advanced Negotiation specialist, Activities related with Supplier Contract Documentation, Specialist in areas of using Bosch Purchasing platform for requesting supplier quotes, analysis & awarding.
