What this job involves:

As a Transaction Manager for Australia Post's parcel locker network expansion, you will be at the forefront of a transformative initiative that is reshaping the future of parcel delivery across Australia. In this role, you will drive strategic partnerships with property owners, managers, and occupiers to secure prime locations for parcel locker installations, directly contributing to the growth and market presence of this iconic Australian brand. You will blend strategic thinking with operational acumen, negotiating favorable terms while collaborating closely with Network Operations teams to ensure all potential locations meet stringent suitability and safety criteria. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Drive transactional conversion and strategic partnerships to expand Australia Post's parcel locker network across key property portfolios
• Identify, engage, and negotiate with property owners, managers, and occupiers to secure optimal locations that meet operational and safety requirements
• Collaborate with Network Operations and Projects teams to prioritize roll-out strategy and ensure all potential sites satisfy established suitability criteria
• Manage relationships with existing property partners to maintain momentum and drive implementation of parcel lockers across their portfolio networks
• Coordinate license instructions to Paralegal teams, ensuring negotiated outcomes meet established KPIs and support the achievement of 35 parcel locker installations per week
• Adopt and maintain the SalesForce transactional platform, providing comprehensive reporting on pipeline status, market segment performance, and installation progress
• Synthesize complex data into actionable insights for management, regularly reporting on progress, challenges, bottlenecks, and emerging opportunities
• Stay informed about retail market trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and potential partnership opportunities to inform leasing strategies
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the expansion program by reviewing processes, brainstorming innovative solutions, and implementing best practices across functional workstreams

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in transaction management and leasing, preferably within logistics, real estate, or property sectors
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms in complex property deals and partnerships
• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate data and generate meaningful insights
• Advanced interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and productive relationship management with external partners
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting licenses and leases, with the ability to identify key terms, obligations, and potential risks
• Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently under pressure, prioritizing work effectively to meet tight operational and financial deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and translate technical requirements into business terms
• Proficiency in relevant software tools, including CRM systems (particularly SalesForce), data analysis platforms, and project management software
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements collaboratively

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with logistics operations, particularly in last-mile delivery, parcel management, or network expansion initiatives
• Knowledge of property safety codes, building regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to installation projects
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in technical or operational environments, coordinating multiple stakeholders toward shared objectives
• Leadership qualities demonstrating the ability to guide, motivate, and foster accountability across diverse teams
• Market intelligence gathering and analysis skills, with proven ability to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes
• Track record of maintaining healthy pipelines and achieving ambitious installation or transaction targets in fast-paced environments
