AECOM is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Structural Engineer to support the design and construction of infrastructure projects within the Buildings + Places business line. This opportunity is based in our Halifax, Nova Scotia office, with hybrid work options available.
AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing, fully integrated team spanning architecture, all building engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics, and asset management for design and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
Serve as a senior technical resource and technical advisor to the team.
Provide specialized technical input to studies and designs within the area of expertise.
Develop study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work.
Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
Apply technical expertise throughout the preparation of discipline-specific contract documents.
Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
Prepare technical specification sections.
Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
Mentor junior and intermediate structural engineering staff.
Assist the team manager in prioritizing workloads and projects for CADD and Revit production technicians and technologists.
Liaise with other discipline leads to meet client performance objectives in an optimized and value-added manner.
